To me, every day is a great day to be alive. I’m fortunate enough to be healthy enough to enjoy life and take care of myself. I am in process of getting a puppy. Pick her up on 16th of this month. I had my last dog euthanized about 3 months ago and I miss not having a dog or two around to trip over!! I enjoy the back and forth with you all. Don’t always see eye to eye with some of the opinions posted here but overall I think most of us would get along just fine if we kept our political opinions to ourselves.
I once heard or read somewhere that you should be happy if you have 3 things.
Someone to love and be loved in return.
Something to do and be able to do it..
And finally, something to look forward to.
I thankfully have all three. 👍

How did the person who invented the first clock know what time it was?

She is a cockapoo. 7 weeks old tomorrow. I named her Ruby. Will bring her home on November 16th.

You mean to be hypocritical then? The clown has cried for 4 years. Had his inner circle coddle him, just as this guy is providing for his employees. Oh, wait. Since it is your guy, it is different. That was the part I was missing. Sorry bout dat.

The 'Crats dropped over $1 billion overall, and still lost. Do ya think they might not have had their finger on the pulse of the country, or are they just "know-it-alls" who know nothing? Either way, the nation gave 'em a wake up call.

Whenever you want to know what the Democrats are up to, watch what they accuse the other side of doing.

Trumps winning is already having a very noticeable positive effect.
When many people, in the large caravan making its way towards our Southern border, heard of the election win they simply turned and headed back ,

The fact that they did NOT see any need to offer similar classes and services when Biden won says it all.
Have also heard they are considering a day from school for those kids similarly affected--
 Talk about indoctrination.
Just cant make this stuff up.
The state went basically 2 to 1 for Harris meaning 1/3 of the voters are just fine with Trump
Wonder if they get to go fishing or have a party with cake at work or school instead of classes for depression?

I've been wanting to get a place in the woods with water on the property for a few years now. Just can't get the old lady to go along yet. After 40++ years together I might just get a puppy also and make the move. She can visit for a day or so every few months
 Life is good!!

Hope you eventually realize your dream about the property. For now you can get the pup. I try and follow a rule of mine to not give advice unless asked, but don’t always succeed. My wife of 61 years passed away two years ago on September 25th. I miss her more than words can adequately convey. But here’s the advice: to all those who are married or have a partner , no matter what happened between you during the day, if you truly love them, tell them that every night. Time might come when you wished you did.😥

Perhaps something most of us can agree on is the trimming down of so  many Govt entities.
Face it- they have become far too bloated over time,
Musk seems to be the one whos gonna be looking into that and I cant wait for the results from a business oriented Genius.

Agree with trimming down. My faith that they will trim the ones that need trimming is not high. The richest guy in the world didn’t get there without doing whatever possible to “live in gray areas” and do what benefited himself most. Making $Bs on the backs of working people. Couldn’t imagine him turning into someone that is looking out for the best of an average Joe at this point.

His ego is known to have no limits, I’d imagine within a year, he and Trump will clash.

See here’s the thing with people like you. It’s not that I think I’m smarter than you. It’s that I think you support MAGA for all the wrong reasons.

Some people buy into MAGA for the fake populism, and I actually just feel bad for them because they are getting conned and don’t realize it. But for people like you it’s just about retribution and grievance politics and making life worse for people that you don’t like. And I’m sure you’ll deny it, but I think you are keenly aware that this is in fact true.

I’m a middle aged, middle class white guy. I work in finance. I’ll be fine. But people who have been GOP punching bags are really scared, and with good reason - because people like Stephen miller are going to be in charge. These people want power not to help people, but to punish them, and specifically they want to punish black people, brown people, trans people… anybody that’s not like them.

And I’m pretty sure the tide of public opinion will turn on Trump pretty quickly (just like last time) and administration will be a chaotic shiitshow (just like last time).

There is no doubt in my mind that by the time we hit the 12 month mark of this term, after he has failed to magically fix everything he promised to fix, and he’s doing the really scary shiit that people think he wouldn’t actually do, all those “grass is always greener” voters will turn on him. Then the Republicans will get wiped out in the midterms, and things should get pretty interesting from there.

I know it looks pretty bad for democrats right now. But one thing I know for sure is that republicans are terrible at actually governing. And the best way to demonstrate it is to give them control once in a while and let them show the country how incompetent they really are. The pendulum always does swing back the other way.

Let’s just hope and pray that the Trump administration isn’t REALLY tested by another crisis, like a worldwide pandemic, or a large scale military conflict, or something worse.

President and senate. Not confirmed they have the house yet.
I think we should all just sit back, take a deep breath and not be overly concerned about the next 4 years. How much control over what they do in DC isn’t in the cards for most of us anyway. If you voted, you did your part. For those who voted for Trump congratulations. For those who voted for Mrs Harris it’s understandable that you feel bad because she lost. I don’t believe any of us has a crystal ball and can see into the future. It all boils down to 3 things. Things could get better, get worse or basically stay about the same. I believe most of us would prefer things get better. Lower prices, higher wages and peace in the world. Treat others with dignity and respect and do are best to get along with one another and work together to make the world a better place. Try not to belittle others just because they have a different point of view. Ok, I’m getting off my soapbox now.
A rising tide floats all boats.

Ok so the test for incompetence is the will of the voters? By that logic Trump was deemed incompetent in 2020 when democrats won the White House and both chambers of Congress.

And then what happens? 4 years later a substantial portion of the electorate says “we want the other guy”. Go back to 2016, or 2012, or 2010, or 2008. It’s the same pattern. Democrats right now are in very much the same position republicans were in 2008. In 2010 the pendulum swung the other way.

Serious question - How long do you think it’s gonna be before people turn on Trump if he can’t deliver on his promises? And I don’t mean you people who are firmly in trumps camp already, I mean average voters. 6 months? Maybe a year?

You trumpers better hope he figures out how to walk on water.

Serious question - How long do you think it’s gonna be before people turn on Trump if he can’t deliver on his promises? And I don’t mean you people who are firmly in trumps camp already
I mean average voters

I'm reasonably sure "average voters" will see that "you people" will be obstructionists to any  and everything he attempts to do.
even when "you people" agree with it, you'll do your best to foul it if Trump proposes

watch and see
