Salmon 2022 reflection

I'm starting this thread because it's the first ( so far) there's been not 1 report from a salmon river Fisher since I joined this forum around 2001 or whenever it became public.
Last year seemed to be the end of an era.
Sadly we lost our resident hard working and always giving us something back from a report, Clint .S.
Pafisher, the master, always drew excitement to the game with dreams of his secret spot. I've be so grateful to share water together there.
His voice has been unfortunately silent since seemingly throwing in the towel.
Rg2,3,or r2-d2.. lol. Has the hope and desire but I feel selling the land has changed a lot...
These have been the recent characters of recent. Now its quiet..

Many names have passed thru this forum. Far to many to accurately account for but acquaintances, friendships, sharing water and laughter together shall not be forgotten.
The memories are photographs..
Griz, Chrome, connie, L-13 ( with special sauce) , pistol Pete, neversink Jimmy, John 3fan , mohawk river dan, dimebtite, blue heron, fichy, TB, Steve, RG , the Master himself Pafisher and Clint. S for freezing his tail off to put a dumb jazz like me on chrome.
These are smiles I've shared with those.
The forum , knowledge and like minded positive views, I enjoy with everyone here.

I'm not discouraged, good people will come

was  scheduled for several days a couple of weeks ago and it got stopped by COVID- both wifey and I had it.
Will continue to fish there and post here even if I  must just sit in a folding chair and roll cast  Kiddie.
Been going crazy sitting here daily staring at the river cams.

r3g3, Thanks for the post.  I wasn't planning on a salmon run trip this fall but a last minute opportunity presented itself.  I fished the Oz 10/5 with a guide who had an open date and was blessed with a bluebird day.  The fishing was outstanding as I put ten kings in the net, all released unharmed.  The hot ticket was fresh skein.
Those wading up near the dam did well as did those fishing the wall at Linear Park.  I did not venture over to the SR as this was a quick trip up the day before and return trip home the morning after.

lovin the steel photos on the puter talking about how great the fishing is--
just wish they would stop using stock pictures with green leaves or snow on the ground and stick to more recent stuff
