Rimfire Bipod
Looking at getting a bipod for a savage BMag 17wsm. I have already replaced the stock with Boyd’s and glass bedded it, and this remedied the flyer issues I had early with the rifle. I am looking to make it the mini-rimfire-sniper-predator-rifle it has the potential to be, and I think the next step is a decent bipod. Eventually I want to put some good glass on it, get a better hunting light, etc., but one step at a time.
Do any of you guys use bipods? anything better for a light or rimfire gun? Do you have a sling/bipod combo suggestion? I have been seeing a lot on the 6-10” size, anything telescoping so that a person could kneel or sit indian style? I am far from a gun builder, this is new to me, but this has been a fun little project thus far.
