Charter captains out of Walnut Run

Been fishing out of Ohio area for the last ten years or so and I want to fish the PA area now. Would anybody like to recommend a few charters for me to check out? My crew is retired and can get out any day of the week except Sunday. I don’t visit here often anymore but if you’re a member of the crappie.com site, hit me up on the Pennsylvania board there. And recommendations are appreciated as us old guys just want to get out and fish together. Thank you. Chaunc

You up to going to Erie and not just Walnut?

One of the good ones hung up his rods, at least for now.  But I think there are plenty of other great ones out of Erie...both in PI and out of Lampe.

I’ve been on the EJ on the city side but not much else besides Walnut run. Don’t want to do the head boat again. Just want someone that can take at least a three man crew out comfortably.

Finding someone with an open day may be an issue, even during the week.
Visionquest, small program, bomber, rough house....all good charter boats/captains from what I have seen.

I agree with eyesandgillz! Andy of Rough House Charters is a great captain. Customers always have a great time with plenty of laughs on his boat. Not to mention fishing out of a 30ft Baha Cruiser is pretty awesome also.

I have fished with Bomber, that was one of my bachelor parties...but that was 2005!
Small Program is his son.  Pete Alex and his team from VQ are some of the best fisherman on the great lakes but they also book up and $$ but they have nice boats....

Always heard good things about Rough House and saw he used to run combined trips with Ken (Blacktop) when he was still chartering so put those 2 together, he must be "good people."

Hope you can find a date that works and you have a great time....

Thanks fellas. I waited too long to try to book for this month. All filled up. If anybody has open seats on a bigger boat than 20 ft and want some help on gas and stuff, let me know. I’ll gladly pitch in on everything. Got a few retired friends looking to get out too. PM me and I’ll give you my number.
