RIP Mr Crappie
Just learned about the passing of Sam Petrill, also known on these boards as Mr Crappie. He was always active on this forum and on any given day you could probably find him sitting on the bank at one of the local lakes fishing for crappie, his preferred quarry. He was one hell of a fisherman and even slowed by health issues over the past few years he'd still outfish most of us! RIP Sam. https://www.legacy.com/ob...utm_content=p198375181

That’s sad. Always loved reading his posts and appreciated his personal touch by signing them “Sam.”
May he always gave a line in the water.
The poster formally known as Duncsdad Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

This is horrible. Dude was just discussing stuff on here days ago. Always providing actual fishing info, unlike most of us. RIP Sam. Condolences to his friends and family.

Oh no....so sorry to hear....he was always on top of the reports for the local westmoreland lakes and would always let me know when the gills or crappies were hitting so I could get the kids out on some good action. Rest in peace, my friend.

A traditional Indian prayer ideal for a funeral service of any religion or no religion. When I am dead cry for me a little Think of me sometimes But not too much. Think of me now and again As I was in life At some moments it's pleasant to recall But not too long Leave me in peace And I shall leave you in peace And while you live Let your thoughts be with the living. RIP Sam.
