Lost Net and Camera

My best friend and long time fishing buddy were fishing 20 Mile Creek at the lower parking area on Wednesday, October 26th. Evidently, his net came loose while climbing up the bank to the parking lot. It was a wooden, long handle net that had a GoPro attached to it. Although the net is a rather expensive one, the most important thing in this is capturing the pics on the GoPro. I know this is a longshot, but if found, please contact me at troutflyrodder55@aol.com. Thanks, Dirk

Seems like every year we see similar posts on lost equipment.May I suggest an idea that may help? I use those address labels that we all get from groups that ask for donations.Put them on your equipment then use nail polish or shellac to cover it making it pretty waterproof. For those that don't want their info out there, you can use your c.i.d. # then if an honest person finds it they can contact a Conservation officer to try to contact you discreetly. Not perfect ,but it helps.  sam

Pete, Actually the name tag has worked a couple of times, when I found a tackle bag once & when I found a net once. Both times I was able to get those items back to their owners. I am not saying it will always work, but it gives you a chance that it will.My friends & I have turned in gear that we found to the boat house & it was never recovered.  sam
