lostsage...

........Fish on tight line and all that good stuff. The creeks are blown get your gear ready its time.

You can say that again, late afternoon picture taken just upstream of (I think) Milfair Road bridge (not 832 as stated earlier). Note the grass on the banks of the crik. The water must of been roaring, earlier in the day.

Sumpthin I'm finding a bit frustrating is having to resize any pics, or use some app that shares your info, in order to get pics posted. Sometimes the scene gotta be 'croped' right outta the pic. 😑 dag nab it.

FYI, this pic was not taken via a drone, from where I was standing, it's a loooong way down. Posted too, I gotta git. 🀫

Outasync I figured you'd be fishing after sunset on the humps. Ya gotta stop letting that dang hunting get in yer way of fishing. 😁

Good luck sitting in your tree, I hope ya poke a hole in another big-un like ya did a few years back. πŸ‘

Gettysburg still on my bucket list and probably should of been where we headed this fall but with this Corona thing, makes for finding good landing spots a bit more challenging so, we're enjoying the big water area and checking out local streams.

Ooops, see how easy it is to get off trac. No hyjacking intended. πŸ€—

Yeah I'd probably agree with folks whose posts got deleted on this one... I try to keep up with most of the local threads, and reply when it's a coherent conversation that I have something to add to. But it's exhausting wading through all the jabbering off topic nonsense on every post on every board.

Pymie is already down to its winter level so i havnt made any trips up there recently. Been spending my free time swinging in my tree. Been seeing several small bucks and smaller 1 to 2 year old doe but nothing to stick yet. Did make out fall trip to gettysburg a few weeks ago a few days after the latest idiot speech there (both of them are idiots in my opinion and would still havnt decided which deserves the highest honor our countries citizens can bestow) and ill tell ya the sights were amazing.

the popularity, ease of use, and instant feedback of facebook and instagram happened.  it's the "native language" for a lot of the younger generation - 20's & 30's - of outdoorsmen.  many of 'em would never even think about coming to a site like this because they find everything they need on social media.

couple of steelhead related facebook pages out there that i follow that are busier and have more discussion and conversation than i've ever seen on this forum, even at its peak 10-15 years ago.  and on those pages, most of the users are far from tight lipped.  every day there are posts from newbies looking to get into the game, and dozens of users willing to tell 'em when, how, and where within minutes.  lots of instant gratification going on there.

I haven't seen any Facebook pages or anything else that could compare to this site 15 years ago.  Most nights starting in August or so, there would be
at least 20 or more sharing pics, stories, whatever.  Sadly, many have moved on, don't fish much anymore, like me, some by choice, some, like me due to physical problems.  Others passed away, got busy with other things, like Skip. Many left because of irritation with newer members.  I think a few like me look in once in a while, but it's no where near what it used to be here.  Sad.....but all good things pass.  Get out there as long as you can..........you never know.

It's to hard to post pics here if you don't have Photobucket. Most all other pages and facebook you can download from your own PC. Can't do that here..

Bings - Snagr posted how to do on here.  On your reply page at the top it says "Quick Reply" then next to that (Open Full Version).  If you open that and use the "Attach Image" icon to the far right at the top.

Yea, I agree, it ain't what it used to be, but a lot of other stuff ain't either. Here's my take on it. A lot of people have drifted away for various reasons. Tired of the bickering, moved on to spend more time on social media, just got bored with it, and sadly some have passed away. Who knows for sure. I think we need an infusion of new blood. Probably a few, if not many lurkers out there. I invite them to join up and chime in. Perhaps this board could in someway head into a more congenial direction. Even the longest journey begins with a single step.

Years ago I got banned for posting spam and I never posted spam on here. Lasted awhile then Sent an email to fishusa and got removed from the banned list. Every time I came on it was nothing but crying and whining. Bunch of trolls. I even had to read posts on people wanting to kill others or telling them to kill them selves for steelhead. So I moved on to other PA forums that don’t have trolls like that. I just came back and will post every once in awhile here if there’s something good to talk about.
