Best places to stay

What are the best places to stay if you're doing a multi day trip to Erie? Why? So far we stayed at the Bayfront inn, fairly cheap, Sara Coyne campground & Camp Sherwin for tent camping

    Walmart? I would've worried about being woken up in the middle of the night. We've also stayed at East Ave boat launch, but been disturbed by Yahoo's coming through in the night

    If you're looking for something cheap on the east side, I've never stayed there but I drive by it every day.
    Seems to do pretty well with the fishermen.

    I'm not sure if Splash Lagoon is open or not yet?  If they are not, then you can likely get a pretty nice room in that area for a discounted rate.  
     
    I have not stayed at the Light House Inn, but the Park Tavern is walking distance, so would be a bonus if looking to get excellent food.
