Striper info

I got word last night about what will be the regulations change.
1. Circle hooks mandatory if using bait
2. The slot will change.
Previously ( for us ) you could only keep 1 fish per day 18" to 28" or over 40. All fish between 28 and 40 must be released.
NOW
The keep size will be 1 fish between 28" and 35 or 38" ( I don't remember which)
This is a complete reversal of what they have been doing citing the 28-38 are spawning size.
I think they realize just how many fish are being taken out before they even reach maturity.

I still scratch my head...

    So from what has been approved on February 4th.
    There is zero change to the Hudson river. Which actually stinks imo. The keep range will stay at 18> to 28<.
    Most of the rest of the striped bass regulations will change to keep 28> 35<

    Ps. The 40 and over is out.
    I will say, its gonna be a judgment call this season on my part.
