t.v. hunting show

This past Sun. (9-15) I watched a husband & wife (mid-aged) team both shoot big bucks with muzzle-loaders in Oklahoma. I am interested in the brand of gun that it was, unfortunately I can not remember the brand or the name of the couple or even the name of the show. All that I remember is that it was a .45 caliber & the shot was approx. 300 yds. & the gun had an unique ignition system With a Leupold scope. Can any one tell me the name of the show or the brand of the gun? I don't recall it being a popular brand.  thanks   sam

Most likely it was an inline ignition system. There are many inline muzzleloader brands out there and some of the centerfire rifle brands like Remington and Savage are also manufacturing inline muzzleloaders these days.

Thompson Center, CVA, and Traditions are the larger muzzleloader brands and each make several different models.

dpms, I wasn't paying too much attention, but it looked like a Rem.700  & it looked like they had a new ignition system that used a primer inside a cartridge that they put in the chamber. I am familiar with most brands, but didn't recognise this one.Although I love black-powder hunting I have no interest in in-lines .That is why I didn't retain any of what I was watching. I was just curious about the ignition. I am thinking that these are custom made.    sam

Probably Remington's new "Ultimate" muzzleloader. It uses a magnum rifle primer in a case that ignites up to 200 grains of powder. They are getting some pretty impressive ballistics with 45 caliber projectiles with that thing.

dpms, I posted a reply but it disappeared somehow. I finally found it,the show was called Brush Country Monsters, I guess it is on weekly,it is another deer farming show. The hunters name is Allan Mcwhorter. The rifle was an .45 cal so-called muzzle-loader with a 600yd. range. The gun is custom made with a ignition that consists of a cartridge that loads like a regular rifle. That was what interested me.  sam

McWhorter Custom Rifles. Yep, they have a new muzzleloader shooting 45 caliber projectiles at impressive velocities. That thing has got to kick like a mule.
