Help for smallmouth fishing

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the smallmouth or any fish are still in the creeks, namely Elk access.  I want to bring my wife up this week and she doesn't care what we catch as long as we can catch something.  But I think she prefers smallmouth  With the recent rains not sure if the fish have left, or when the fish leave or how long they stay.  I already PM'd a couple anglers but didn't want to pester them anymore.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Brilliant topic. My brother was there last year and he told that fishing with nets is constantly under the law in Ireland. In lakes and rivers it is possible only with fishing rod, bait and a fishing line. By the way, he took my fishing line ( and the good thing is you don’t need to buy a tackle, as a license, in stores on that area. And if you’ll have more than two fishing rods – you’ll have problems. For fishing in lakes, licenses are often not required. But there are an exceptions - in lakes where trout or salmon are bred, you can fish only with a license.

It was those darn Russian hackers again.

Anyway, yes, there are smallmouth still in the creeks, along with suckers and probably a few trout/ steelhead. Gf and I were up this past weekend, didn't fish the creeks but did walk a bit. We fished out in the main lake, 10-15 feet of water, and caught some nice smallies off of 4 mile and some of the nearby creeks, including one that was 5 1/2.

Thanks so much for the responses.  Not really sure what wcw or Johnthefisherman even means about smallmouth in the creeks.  Daller's post about fishing nets in Ireland was more in line with my original question.  Come on guys try to stick to the topic......
