Crawford County staff is not flying around in airplanes or using drones. They, do however have Pictometry. In fact, Erie and Crawford went in 50/50 to have each county flown, in 2016 or 2017. Pictometry is used all over the US https://www.eagleview.com/product/pictometry-imagery/ Also, the PA Dept of Ag pays for aerial photography to be done of the commonwealth. It is shared with any county in the commonwealth, that asks for it.

.....of which I am about to do.
The last sounds I hope to hear in my driveway this coming Sat. is the whiring of my landing gear going up followed by, my drivers door closing and the shifting of my pic-em-up truck tranny, into giddyup-go.
Happy New Year to all.
PS. I'll be sure to send pictures.😎

Has any one been down to the Jamestown launch area this week? Wondering how the shorelines are holding up.

Chauncy I was out all day Tuesday and the ice thinned a good 3 inches. We left at dark and about 6 inches was left. Yesterdays rain and todays temp and there can't be much left. It doesn't look good for walking on water this season until we can have a boat between us and the water.

Jamestown is 12* now feels like 6* going down 11*. Heard a few guys getting out with planks earlier but can't confirm. Stay safe, hope someone can give a better 1st hand report than me going off hearsay. Don't know how accurate this site is... https://www.outdoornews.com/ohio/fishing-reports/ Think that report is a couple weeks old, sorry.

Tim, funny you say that. Ever since I was a kid 'till presently had vivid dreams ov pulling fish with rod right through the back yards grass like ice fishin' (weird). Kid did bring home a Humminbird 998c & 999ci hd today so might have to scan it just in case I'm missing something. Have a Hobart Buffalo grinder/chopper that does this too fish heads. Anyone eat fish heads & bones?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCy4qupIREw crappy

Funny stuff, always had dreams of my bedroom flooded, sitting on the bed casting toward the closet. It sure does look like that fish is being pulled outta the porch floor lol

When I was a kid, that album cover reminded me of our local Chartiers Creek, cause basically it was a sewer.

Giggles McGee my brother & I fished for 'bout 45 min. with jigs & plastics with no action. Lot ov ice on the lake yet. On way back from Ohio saw one boat heading for some open water at causeway 'round 6:00 pm. Stopped at spillway to watch the Eye guys & no one had caught anything. One guy said 2 were caught between 3:30 & 5:00 this morning. Gonna give it another go later next week with live bait. crappy

I was going to attempt to ice fish Manning the day after the rescue occurred. Abandoned that idea and ran around looking for other ideas. Ended up walking with Andy (my dog) around border of off limit grounds looking for sheds. Saw that I could launch boat out of New Bowers and fish near causeway. It is just to windy for me lately. I am getting soft lately.

Crappie I can't talk no smack on Giggles McGee because he outfishes me now. I know this because I saw a picture at the end of last Winter with him and Timmy holding 2 huge Walleye. The fish were so big the picture weighed 10 pounds.
