You nailed it ! Money in and more money out......funny how the hurricane hit and gas companies said the refineries were damaged so gas would go up temporary ....well the hurricane is long gone and so is our gas savings ! Ford is going to stop building smaller cars huh ......let gas keep climbing...plans might change quick !

Ya guys are right , but what’t Crazy is how the gas prices differ from place to place . $3.09 here , down in Richmond last weekend it was $2.54 ... 400 miles away ?? Heard that about Ford also , I don’t get that ... been thinking of getting the 2019 Ranger next year but have a 2014 Kia Sorento now got 29.3 mpg on last weekends trip so I might just rethink this brain storm with the gas $$ the way they are going...

Was out for some more drift fishing yesterday afternoon. Cloudy, light rain, and a nice breeze had my hopes up for a good time eye fishing. Once the first small storm passed, the wind really let up which gave me a slower drift than I had hoped for, but I still managed to put the first legal one in the boat for the year. Got 1 shorty and lost another nice fish halfway to the boat also.
Was somewhat of a crazy day to view mother nature. Lots of static in the air as I got shocked once by my pole, and at one point watched as my line hoverd about 7' off the water for an entire drift. Saw 4 different rainbows including a double one, and another small one that ended 10yds from my boat (no pot of gold there unfortunately). Topped off the day watching a not too distant eagle swoop down to grab dinner before the big storm hit. Once the lightning started flying to the south it was time to pack it in. Got home and got the boat in the garage just as the rain really started to hit. Not a ton of fish caught, but was a great evening to be out.
Good luck out there!

CRAPPIE ....Glad ya got the 1st legal eye in the boat👍, I did manage to get boat cover off and got it in garage getting there. You’re a trooper being out on lake with thunder around. With first sound of thunder wife is bringing her line in saying let’s go ... lol of course getting shocked from my pole would surely be enough for me 😜👍... Weather sounds good next week so hopefully my water time will be starting .... good luck !!

Enjoyed your outing Crappy_Slayer and congratulation on your catch. As for that "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow, after hearing of the shock from your fishing pole ... I'd say 'yes there was' cause you are still here to tell us about it. mopars0 been thinking of getting the 2019 Ranger next year but have a 2014 Kia Sorento now got 29.3 mpg on last weekends trip so I might just rethink this brain storm with the gas $$ the way they are going...
RANGERS RULE and you would look goooooood in a "19" powered by the 3.2 5 cylinder diesel, Steve! Oooooooooops silly me, wrong Pymy thread.

Love pushing my luck with those approaching storms, and the fish seem to like it too most of the time.
Pymafish, I was using crawlers.

Sounds like the dude in the brown overalls up to his old tricks of tugging on your fishing line, being the prankster he is. Can't see the Starcraft in the daylight, the kerosene latern ain't lit.

Nice catch atte1. Slow day for me, but I managed one for dinner. The dog enjoyed a boat ride in the sun.

As fun as it is to catch there are times it is more about just enjoying the day...from the looks of your buddy I think he was happy to just enjoy the day. Great picture!

After this never-ending winter I think we're all just happy to get out and enjoy a nice day. And nothing makes the dog happier than to lick the few fish we get as they come into the boat. Reminds me of taking my niece and nephew out and watching them poke at the fish we catch. Good luck getting out this weekend outasync. Hope the lake treats you well. Get that young one a few fish to poke at and get 'em hooked for life. As for myself, I managed 2 more healthy eyes this afternoon. Another beautiful day to be out.

Our dog loves to clean the blood off the deck, but only from walleye??? If it is a perch, bass, catfish, sheep or chrome he wont touch it.... we have yet to figure that one out, but has been that way since he was a pup.

I'll be darned, twas just this past week me better half and I was rubber necking the real estate in the Tuttle area of Espeyville. We took a ride through the park, conversing about how nice it would be if Tuttle could be reopened. Who knew???
Thanks Crappie, for taking the time to post the story.
Kudos to those pushing the project.
