There's so many other options. I've always liked the Hornady Lever Revolution rounds in a lever gun. Them Barnes rounds are bad azz too. BH

Sam tell your buddy to buy Barnes, Hornandy or, whatever mfg he can find and buy him this hat...... I give up!! lmao! I do wonder, might the 170 grain hollow points been mfg by Peters, UMC or, Western? The only thing I find by Remington, is the Core-Lokt that's been produced since 1939.

BTDT, I may be wrong, again, but I thought that Remington was going out of business or bankrupt? Thanks for the effort, I think that his only hope is to find someone that has been holding on to some,or at a gun show. I told him that of all of the deer that I killed with 1 shot I never had one ask me what brand I was using. But using something that you have confidence in is very important. sam

Ha haa ha, love the brand thingy. I didn't hear about Remington going 'belly up'. Maybe I should be buying a few hats as collectors items. Enjoyed the research and believe it or not, your buddy is not alone in looking for that particular Remington ammo. I'll bet it is or will become pricey. Besides, doing research as such helps me to kill time until my birthday present arrives. 🎂Happy Birthday tooooooo me🎂 S & W 9MM 2.0 Shield 7 + 1 CTL and Universal caliber clip loader with roller style shim for various size clips.

Sam, since you mentioned Remington in your post, I'm seeing more and more coming out in the news. Perhaps this will open the door for people to sue distillery's, car, cell phone and other manufacturers in the future??? My Birthday present arrived yesterday... Got a freebie with my purchase of which I put through it's paces. If ya do a lot of shooting and reloading clips on sight but don't have a re-loader yet, check out CALDWELL MAG CHARGER UNIVERSAL PISTOL LOADER. You'll never leave home without it!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOO ME! [he sang; belated] BTW I ask my gun dealer if he might be knowing of any Remington 170 grain hollow points and he just stood there staring. Look on his face had me wondering if he was now giving second thought to doing, paper work for, the transfer???? I'll keep looking... lol.

Thank you very kindly Sam but ya how it is, when a "Boomers" birthday comes around these days. I feel a nap calling my name.
