twin lakes

Finally a day of ice fishing with comfortable temps. Fished the upper lake for a few hours. Started off slow but I eventually found some active fish. Pulled about a dozen or more fish out of the same hole, mostly gills but did get 3 nice slab crappies. The bite died around 4pm, was marking lots of fish but they were no longer interested in my bait. Hopefully we don't lose a lot of ice with this next warmup.

Ryan, I took a ride to the lower lake this afternoon & was surprised to see how few people were out. I would have stopped up to the upper if I knew you were there. I guess that more people were at Greenlick like Wally said. How thick was it at the top lake? LLoyd said that guys told him the ice was between 6" -8" at the lower lake. STEP SOFTLY.  sam

Ice was 6-7 inches at the upper lake.
