A quick check of the PFBC stocking schedule shows that nothing in Erie County has been stocked with smaller trout since May.  On the tribs that hold steelhead, all of those trout would be browns.  I've caught smaller holdover browns from time to time while fishing for steelhead over the years, but nothing with any regularity.

The Delayed Harvest areas of Oil Creek in Venago County and Neshannock Creek in Mercer County would probably be the closest to Erie for smaller trout.  Both have been stocked this week.

Brook trout?  Dunno for sure, but I imagine there'd be some somewhere in Erie County.  Although I can't imagine anybody's gonna give up a wild brook trout spot on here.

    *Edit:
If you do some digging on the PFBC website, it'll take you about 5 minutes to find that there are some Class A wild trout streams in Erie County, and several more that support natural reproduction.  They even give GPS coordinates to 'em.  Access is another issue though.  Just because they're listed doesn't mean that there's access.
