Meadow Run Fayette County

Anyone have any information on Meadow run in Fayette County?  Basicly looking for information on bug life and best time to fish this May, June etc.  Was going to make an exploratory trip this past Saturday but saw the local radar and headed to Little Mahonning instead.  Thanks for any help.

It has been several years since I fished it, but don't get hung up on fishing the DHALO area.  There are stockers and beaver creek wash-downs spread throughout, and many of them don't have tourist kids from Ohio doing cannonballs on them.
 
Early(and late) in the year, before(and after) it becomes a big swimming hole, the lower stretches can produce big fish.
 
Ohiopyle, and really the Laurel Highlands region, is a zoo on the weekends from memorial day through labor day.
 
Bug-wise, it has most of your typical smaller mountain stream bugs, nothing out of the ordinary for the area. 3 or 4 sizes of parachute adams and 3 or 4 sizes/colors of caddis and you will be fine.  They aren't wild fish that only want size 14 cripples of a specific shade of yellow.  They are stockers, more or less.  If you want a decent shot at a big river fish, I would suggest going and throwing heavy streamers at or near the mouth right before dark.

Never gave the snakes a thought lol.  Rattlesnakes no big deal ran into a couple of those around Tionesta once or twice, copperheads are just mean lol.  Yeah fish the lower section of Laurel Hill a lot in the summer and it gets to the point that you fish in morning, eat lunch take a nap and fish evening, don't waste your time trying to fish the bigger holes in afternoon.  Hoping to get a chance in the next couple of weeks to check it out before it gets too crazy but with as warm as its been might be already.  Thanks for the info guys.

Finally had a chance to take a drive down to meadow run and of course it was after a rainy week and rainy Friday night.  Water was pretty much unfishable color wasn't bad but it was way high and running fast.  Met 2 locals on my way down to the stream as they were walking out and they both said they had never seen it that high and fast.  Haven't had a chance to venture back down yet.  From the little I could tell it looks like a nice stream.
