My grandson's buck

My 15 year old grandson Kyle shot this 8 point with a 14" spread this morning.  The bad thing is it has a tumor on its right side.   My buddy thinks it is the one he hit in archery season or maybe the buck got hit by a car.   We are not sure how the meat will be until we skin it.   Nice buck for his first one.  He is only 4 feet tall.

It's an old deer.  He doesn't have many teeth left.

Nice, hope he sticks with it.  My grandson's first time out at age 12 he shot a 6 and I was more excited than he was.  Was always like pulling teeth to get him up, dressed, and into the stand.  I gave up.  He's 19 now and expressing an interest in going next year.  If it happens, it happens.  Got tired of the battles.

    Congratulations on fine trophy.

At one time deer shot and found to be tainted, the PGC would issue another tag.

Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a life time. ~Anne Isabella Thackeray Ritchie (1837–1919)~

Thanks guys.  He got a bigger buck than pap did.  lol
I'm sure he will stick to hunting and fishing.  We have to wait until he goes to school before we can take the boat out to go fishing or he'll want to take off.  He loves to fish.
