Need new names for Erie fishing areas

We had a crazy hunter packed waterfowl shooting area up on Pymy. Anything that flew over got blasted by and entourage of trigger happy hunters no matter how high or fast they flew ! Most Ducks died from lead poisoning before they hit the ground.....it was that crowded!

It's name was Murder's Row !     Very fitting name if you ever witnessed it .

I'm thinking spots and people on Erie Trib's need some new names that fit them better now days !

Snaggers - Sto & go

Elk Access - The Jungle

Trout Run - Mayhem Beach

Walnut -

The Tubes -

Walnut... It's full on elbow to elbow combat 24/7. Its just a miserable place to be. I like to call it the loony bin. Don't really have any nick names for other creeks. Eastern creeks got to have some sort of russian jingle to them i think

Yeh, some of the guys who post reports saying something like, had a great weekend, hooked a dozen, landed four, should go back and read the old reports from years ago.  Fifteen years ago, that was the first hour.

Wish I wasn't as stubborn 20 years ago.  Then I was fishing NY rivers religiously (every other weekend from Sept-April), 3 hr drive, numerous "suicide runs", was told several times to go Erie, told you'll catch a lot more, but fish not a big.   Didn't bite the bullet on Erie tribs until about 12 years ago, and now only hit NY 3-4 times year; currently developing interest in Ohio, but Erie is a 5 hr drive for me.   Also looked into Michigan, but not a fan of the big/wide rivers.

Locust Gap is 3 miles from me. I have several relatives from there. And yes, it was a big coal mining area. Both my grandfather's worked in local collieries.

    old dog
i'm a silver skull so my grandfather would be well over 100.  i've heard talk that he and his two brothers were mollie maguires back in the day.  the three hightailed it to cleveland and then headed south along the border with pa.  lol.  ive always wanted to head over and see the gap.  i hear the cemetery there or in mt. carmel are full of my relatives.

    thanks for the replies.

Lots of history around here with the Mollies "The Hard Coal/Hard Core", came from Jack Kehoes Hibernian House (was hung along w/ 19 other Mollies).  Everything centered around coal mining, when mines closed the area fell into deplorable condition and has yet to recover.  My grandfather was in a tunnel collapse during the 50's was presumed dead along with several others; 3 days later pulled himself out (by feeling along the tunnel wall) and walked home (lost an eye during collapse); family was planning a funeral when he came through door; was only survivor....I couldn't even imagine...

If you send me a PM with their names and if you know which cemetery I'll take a ride see if I can get you a pic or a charcoal rub on paper of headstones.
