Look what you started l-13!!! Lol... Trevor I think you're taking this the wrong way. Everybody here knows how genuine you are. Honestly though, in the past month I've had blatant trespassing, with no regard, and much attitude. One of the instances was a group of campers looking to take my firewood, another were a group of Russians who pulled right in next to me and started putting on their waders... they insisted it wasn't private property and gave me an attitude when I insisted it was... another was a guy who posted pics from a shared private driveway on social media... in which 50% of the time out of state plates block it or park in it during silly season. Along my river bank there are the most beer cans during silly season. So please, understand that it is somewhat of a burden to the community, and understand that you are not included in anything anyone says about out of towners.
Jack, I hope you enjoy and have a bladt. I've yet to make it out west, but I believe I may do the sussit/skeena of brittish Columbia for world class wild steelies if I ever make it out that way

It got you back on the board! Friends of mine had a crew pull up and want to camp in their yard a couple of years ago. They have a camera on the wood pile. They were convinced to find an alternative location as the NYS Police were right down the road. I had the spare tire stolen out from under my truck. The stories are nearly endless. And I am not casting aspersions at people like R3G3 or the big bear who have invested in places around there as they are in general good stewards of their and their neighbor's lands. But a lot of the ones who stay in the motels are complete hogs.

What's the point of all this back and forth? Is this some childish game of Tommy Topper? Don't we get bombarded with enough nonsense at work, with the media and other social websites?

I don't believe that anyone if forced to read these websites. At least some of where I'm coming from is based on statements like "Snagging is a way of life on the Sr and I -for one- don't ever see it stopping, gotta learn to live with it- like or not. Or go nuts.", and for over 30 years I have refused to accept that, and do tend to get a little " antsy" as a result.

Been there since the early 80s each year -some a lot more than others. The folks here changed the way I fished and gave a new way of looking at the river. It has been much appreciated. My approach of not being able to change the way things are is a bit of self preservation lol.- Am not going to be able to change it so - just do my own thing and be happy about that. Personally fish for fun and not to loose sleep worrying about the slobs.

Thanks for the good word lucky. Being from out of state I understand how frustrating all the crap I see has to be to the locals. I just truly enjoy it up there and am happy I get to come up as often as I can and get to know a few people and relax.

Was nice having a place there and being around all seasons- often not fishing at all. Considering recent reports, guess the Steel trip before Deer season is cancelled- hopefully for a short time only. If guys like Lucky and some of the other regs arent having much luck KNOW I wont get any --90/10- lol.

Hate to double post but the place is so slowwwww--- Guess my Steel trip this fall is not gonna happen All reports stink--at best. Am missing being up there for many reasons aside from fishing but the fishing is the big draw now that I'm a full time non resident. Hope some come in over the Winter and that Spring will be OK. Good luck and happy times to all that try. Deer season is upon us---GOOD.

Thanks Clint- even stopped hunting my own place up there lol. Ct is a GREAT place for deer with more tags than I ever want to fill. Took mature bucks for the past few years and a couple of eaters too last season. Only looking for one this year.

Haven't posted in a while- Had a great Deer season here- no horns but an eater- saw deer most every day afield and waited to the end for a harvest. See that fishing seems fair for the very experienced and poor for the rest -like me. May still hit the river in early Spring- missing the area a lot. Fish are secondary to being there IMHO. Woulda stayed at the Jailhouse on my Oct trip but prices were outa sight and found a cheap room along the lake. Nice to hear a report from there with reasonable Jail pricing in the off season- maybee in Spring. HEY-- read bout a lot of commercial places being up for sale in Pulaski so took a look at the listings. Was surprised at some of the places on the lists. Hope its not a trend- but ------ Good luck to all--
