Anyone know of easily accessible bait store between north Pittsburgh and Conneaut?

Planning on making a run up to Conneaut soon. I am looking for a bait store(minnows, chubs) with easy on off access to I79, between Cranberry and the exit for Conneaut. Does anyone know of any? We usually go to a place called Pufts, a few miles past Conneaut on the way to Pymatuning, but would like to save the extra drive.

Try O'Donnell on Rte 19 outside Portersville. Then jump on 422 to 79.

I like O'Donnel he is fair, and a nice guy that will converse with you about the fishing. However I can never understand why bait shops open so late, or maybe I'm the only guy that likes to hit the water before sunrise???

You wouldn't want to be there from 5 am to 9 PM would you? Sure some of them take time off most don't!

Never said I would, I get your point though. I prefer to get out early, as do a lot of other fisherman, I would think a lot of business is lost because of the 8-830 openings. JMO

This time of year I keep some bait on hand.  20 gallon storage bin, aerator and filter in the garage will keep minnows alive if temps don't get too warm.  In 2-3 weeks, temps are even better.  Got to scoop the floaters out every day, bury them in the garden or salt and freeze.  Crawlers are even easier.

Inland lake bait shop owner, is not an easy way to make money.  The guys are basically doing it as a favor to anglers.  I can see the BAC, Pour Richard's and beach bait shops making some decent money.  To wake up at 5AM to sell $10 worth of bait, and get $3-4 profit, then nothing for 2-3 hours, is not something I'd be interested in...
