Did you try near any of the cribs & structure that was put in. There is a map of them on the PF&BC web site. Actually there was very good Bass fishing this year, also I witnessed a nice Musky being caught there, but it was a little short.  sam

Ive done ok there this year. A few nice bass in the17- 19" range. Lots of 12-15's. I know there are some real hogs in there just haven't landed one yet. It's a good lake to take the yak on for quick trips. Get the structure map as said.

Didn't get out on the lake. was fishing from shore, mostly around the campground.

I usually do pretty well with topwaters on the picnic/beach side of the lake.  Cast parallel to shore and work the shallows.  The rest of the lake is better fished from a boat.

Anyone know how to get a permit to keep a boat/canoe/kayak at the lake? I searched online and came up empty handed. I figured I would track someone down at the lake on one of my next trips.

The park office has applications. Sometimes there is a waiting list. If there are currently any spots open they will prorate them until the end of the season, Oct 31. It may be $60 for an entire summer. The lady that nomally answers the phone is very friendly and helpful. Great people out there.
