Salmon

I heard a lot about good "for pa" numbers of pink salmon being caught trolling any guesses if we will see a better than normal run in Erie tribs this year?

Never caught a pink salmon would like to catch one.
Have heard of them being caught out in lake this summer on here and charter boat reports.

I've caught three Pinks so far this summer trolling for Lake Trout and Steelhead out deep. Put one back but two were fatally hooked so they went home. The charters are catching was above average numbers of them this year, mainly Pinks but a few Cohos and Chinooks mixed in too. I know one charter of something like 33/45 on their Salmon catch rate for this season. Hopefully any that are caught in true Tribs are released, especially the Pinks, which are entirely self sustaining in the Great Lakes region.
