Greenlick

Anyone been hitting Greenlick. Its been since 2012 since I fished there...I was hoping to have a chance at a walleye or two and the trips to Pymie are getting grueling not to mention non productive as the weather is getting hotter and hotter.

Was there two weeks ago. Got a couple nice Bass and Crappie but no Walleyes. The place was full of plastic yachts (Kayaks) A couple were fishing and the others just needed to see how close they could get to you and how much noise they could make.

I was there Sat. even.,fish'n was pretty slow. I made the mistake of going home past the Evergreen drive-in. I should have known better when I saw cars lining up outside of the drive -in at 6 pm. when I came past at 9 p.m. there were vehicles lined up bumper to bumper from the drive-in out to rt.819 cars were stuck on 819 trying to get off. I had to drive in the wrong lane trying to get past the drive-in because there were cars behind me & I couldn't turn around. Friends of mine told me they could not get in after waiting in that line for approx.1/2 hr. I am glad that I wasn't the one that had to go & tell them that it was full. I will not go that way on the week-end again.  sam

Is it still dangerous there? I recall reading posts of people being killed in the parking lot, and other than fishing going on there at night.

I made about 5 trips out there this year for walleye night fishing. I haven't had any issues with anyone yet but there is a lot of traffic of cars pulling in the parking lot late at night and just sitting there or getting out and walking around with no flashlights and not fishing. Last year i went into the bathrooms and there was **** smeared all over the walls in and outside of bathroom stalls and toilets were mashed. It does not seem like the safest place to be after dark but the fishing is pretty good if your fishing from a boat i usually catch some walleyes or some bass each trip.

yeah jigging night crawlers or minnows is the way i been catching them. only issues i have is finding the walleyes with no fish finder so i dont always find what depths they are in.

Thanks! Your doing thing old school way that's awesome who needs technology to be successful! My fish finder only works half the time anyway!
