since no one responded back for long time...lol...I will respond

    WTF HAPPENED????

Went to the 'wall' on the front channel....was confronted with 'Norfolk Southern NO TRESPASSING signage'....no FORKING WAY!?

then stopped by the Killbuck boat launch, where I have never fished, but happened to notice the parking lot when exiting I79....while this placed looked 'fished', it was too shallow and lacked structure for me to even wet a line.

Thought I'd try the back channel.....WOW....there's a gate where I can't even access it!!!

These spots have provided some of the best fishing for me on the Ohio....**** shame can't even fish it anymore

(actually, for my money...I'd walk the 2+ miles to the dam on the backchannel to fish there if nobody's been there

take care....love you guys long time!

I don't know the scoop, but I know that in the past 16 years the best shore access in that area has been completely privatized, gated off, no trespassing, we will shoot you if you fish here, etc. I haven't thought about it in awhile, but now that I've read this I'm stressed again! I caught so many fish in that stretch, so many species, so much fun.....

Wow, refer to people as chumps and being weak and they'll come out of the wood work with infro!! I'll have to write that down for future use.

I've been getting a few walleye, bass and drum at the mouth of Montour.  But not many and other than the drum, not very big.  I sure miss having access to the dam.  I'm going to try up in the Allegheny tomorrow.

Yeah u can. There are multiple ways to get there. All involve walking!
They also rebuilt the walls at the back channel dam a few years ago and changed the flow and dynamic a bit. I've only been there a couple times in the past few years, but it ain't what it used to be.

One of the first times I tried fishing that wall below the dam was 06' maybe and a railroad cop stopped us and told us we were getting fines if we crossed the tracks.  That it was private property and the signs get torn down every time they put them up.
