Cross Creek

If anyone is interested cross Creek is all open water. One boat on the lake and two people on the handicap porch. Didn't see anything being caught.

Have any of you guys heard talk about an 844 bait shop opening on the other side this year? A guy up at Gander said something about it.

Well the first trip out to CC with my buddys boat was a total bust!! Launched the boat, parked the truck, and of course the motor doesn't start! ****ed around with it for an hour tryin to get it to run but it wouldn't cooperate, not to mention the gale force winds that were pounding waves into us while tied up to the dock haha. About half dozen other boats out, talked to a few guys, not much action. Wind/waves/chop was the worst I've ever seen out there

I had that happen at Lake Arthur.  But it was my boat motor that wouldn't start!  Embarrassing for sure.  Had to pack it up and head home that day!  I always start it now at home.

Was taught to do a pre-start at home before going to the lake, solved the  no start at the docks.Maybe that's why those guys with the boat didn't stay long the other day when I was there. Anyone on the porch?

Mike called and said the bait shop is opened, he has live bait and that the crappie are starting to bite. Don't shoot the messenger.

The PA Fish Commission attempted to run a walleye survey last Wed/Thurs without success. Said it was too early and would try again later in the spring. In fact they said they got nothing which may indicate the crappie haven't started their spawning run yet.

A bad day of fishing beats a great day at work!
