Great pics, my father moved to California in 2013 and I have had the Kern river in my mind ever since I've read about it and seen it.. maybe this year! But good topic, looking back on 2015 I made some changes in my life to be able to do more fishing and outdoor stuff. It was my 1st full year of strictly fly fishing and I have learned so much. I look forward to 2016 and have many fishing destinations that I plan on fishing. 2015 was a successful season for me up Erie as I really succeeded in my first season of fly fishing so tight lines and good health to you all

The reels are from the 1930s and 1910s.. back then Right hand retrieve was the norm

nope... no restoration needed
just some cleaning and some grease/oil
They do all have a long (original) foot, so the rods had to be customized for the reels to fit
