Help! Glendale Lake Conditions?

Glendale Lake conditions???
Any help appreciated. Leaving in a few hours for a camping trip to Prince Gallitizin State Park.
Packing now.
Wondering if it would be worth taking my boat?
Heard conflicting reports of ice and ice free lake?
Anybody out there?
thanks
rob

    John,
You know we're not going to wait until spring. Viva El Nino!!!
Could you use your connections on the board to find out if there is ice on Glendale Lake?
And, could you do it within the next half hour?
    Thanks bud.

Thank's blue, but the word smart and me seldom collide in the same sentence.
The few times I've been there can't remember seeing a bait shop, just the marina.
Know of any? Be real nice if you called em and let BTDT know.
    thanks

    Thanks E&G.
Left before your post but I'll keep your link for future reference.
Ice cover on most of the lake but not thick enough for ice fishing. Kids were messing around on the ice near shore but it was raining and water on top of the ice.
Glad I didn't drag my boat up there.
Spoke with a park ranger who said there was some open water near the dam.
Had a good family weekend, camping, hiking and eating.
Looks like we're going to have winter after all?

    registered,
I always liked Glendale and wished I lived closer.  Water seems to stay nicer later into summer compared to Wilhelm or Pymy.
Had limited luck on smaller eyes trolling down near the dam.
Could always seem to get the panfish to bite if I was targeting them, sometimes small, sometimes not.  Even had a good day on smallmouth there one time....we were fishing minnies under floats for crappie and ran into a mess of smallies.  I think we landed 6 that day in a small area.
Largemouth are there a plenty and used some from there to stock my inlaws pond.

The water was mostly open, with thin skims of ice in the back coves. The last few days have be really cold this morning 7 deg. F. That should help. Although it will warm some tomorrow.

Eman, I,m heading to DC tomorrow. Don't know if the ice is safe or not but going anyhow. If nothing else I will find some bait shops and some spots for future trips!
