flintlock hunters

I have T/C Renegade also,it had the blade sight on it and I was a poor to bad shot with it but did kill several deer simply because there where so many deer to shoot at then. When PGC allowed sights to be changed I put a quality true glow type sight on it,and it made a huge difference.   I've killed a deer every year I hunted  since then with 1 or 2 chances. But due to lack deer and early season success I've not hunted since 13-14 season.  My uncle shot a peep on a rifle and loved it. It would be an improvement over iron sight. I love my big bore .54 also the change in slug over patch
 balls made a big difference. I bought 25 boxes of T/C maxi balls for a $1.00 a box before they where legal at a going out of business sale. Now they don't even make them.

Put peeps on two rifles some years back when I started having ' issues' seeing my open sights. Especially the somewhat blurry rear sight.
One Black powder and a conventional rifle.
They 'may' have helped in a very short run but soon was off with them too.
Seems that when my back sight was a bit blurry- the peep  in time blurred too.
Nice try but ya cant beat mother nature and age. lol.
 Eventually put scopes on everything -that did the trick- cept one gun.
One thing I still use at 50 or so is  a  true glow sight with 2 bright green on the rear and a red on the front Seems even when the rear blurs ya can pick out the bright green easily- Have it mounted a bit further forward on the black powder barrel too for a bit more clarity.
A friend with a similar issue used a red dot on a black powder with a self imposed 50 yard rule.- tried his at the range and it was fine.
Gotta learn to roll with the years- lol.

But are truglow sights now legal in PA. traditional flinklock season? I used buckhorn and blade sights on my Lancaster with the electrical tape trick on my glasses with some  good results.

Flintlock muzzleloader hunters may use "any single projectile," including sabots, and mini and maxi balls.
