northerns

Are any of you guys out specifically for Northerns in the shallows yet ? Doing any good? How about Channels ? While I was out for Trout on Mon. I was targeting a small school of Carp with jigs. Good thing the Trout & Perch were more co-operative.  sam

You mean in the allegheny (or any of the three rivers)? I didn't even know there were Northerns this far south on the river. I went out for musky at some trib mouths a couple weeks ago. No luck in 6 hours using jerkbaits, swimbaits, spoons, and live Stonerollers. All I saw during the entire day was a pair of little smallies chasing minnows.

Divemaster, I mean the lakes. I usually go to Yellow Creek lake as soon as the ice leaves,& since we usually catch them in Feb. Or March I was hoping that some would be close to shore now. sam
