greenlick to-day

Went to Greenlick to-day to see if anything was biting, the only thing that was was the wind at least for me. There was 1 other guy that I could see. The water level was up, I think that you could launch a boat from the ramp.I only fished for an hour or so since I have fished in the wind all week at other places & am tired of it.  sam

Greenlick it seem's is windy all the time. I went by there about 2 weeks ago and there was no way I would try to put my boat in then. There was no one fishing.

I have this vague memory of fishing in calm, not stupid windy weather.  Turns out that was some fantasy dream, because it is ALWAYS windy.  Like always.  I see videos of Erie layed down, that's a lie.  I see pics of Pymie flat calm, another lie.  The goto state of Arthur is "white caps" 90% of the time.  So yeah, I can believe Greenlick is windy all the time.  Because it is if it is in this BS windy state.  I feel your pain.

TL;DR - wind can suck it.

Oh, a bit to add.  The way you fish certainly mitigates or amplifies the wind.  I like to anchor and that's just an extra dose of nightmare in the wind.  If you're a drift guy the wind is your friend up to a point.  If you are running and gunning you can ignore some wind, but too much and you're fighting it with your trolling motor.  Trolling... not sure.  Guessing it doesn't matter as much on the troll.  Too much wind and you can't cast right regardless.  Again... F wind.

I forgot to mention that I was watching a flock of approx.100 Snow Geese, the sight was dazzling with the sun shining off of them & their honking is sort of melancholy. More of natures beauty..  sam

Was at the lake to-day,water level is up,saw what looked like a blue chemical like pool cleaner around the shore line where I was at. Don't know what it was but I saw it at another lake this summer I got shiners at B&M bait shop, but didn't do any good. Looked like someone took down the used line containers that JCWA put up. Other than that everything looked good.  sam

Wonder if they collected much or any line in those containers. I don't think many people realize what they are for. Bet they collected some unwanted stuff.
