Love fishing for all species of fish we have here in pa but mainly small and large mouth bass, walleye and trout. My uncle owns and operates a campground on the banks of french creek in the small town of utica so i try and make it up there as much as possible but i mainly fish around the south hills

Yes it is, saw plenty of big muskies in that creek, never caught one but never really fished for them

Howdy Jake, welcome aboard, don't be shy or a stranger...............

French Creek at Utica provides some great fishing and, boating for those that enjoy paddling.  Made many float trips, in a canoe, from there down stream to Franklin.

Would that be French Creek Farm you speak of?

Done a lot of hunting, fishing and, camping in that area years ago; boy-o-boy if Creek Road could talk.

The campground runs some fishing contest as well as other games during the summer and would be a great place to stay; making a trip down from Shaw's Landing at Cochranton one day then floating from the camp ground to Franklin the next. BTDT for sure.

Welcome aboard Jake. Where abouts in the South Hills do you live? I live in Jefferson Boro and that puts me within 50 minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes of Laurel Hill Creek, Dunbar Creek, Meadow Run and the Yough River.

I'm in the same boat. Actually, on foot wading or fishing on shore.  I live nearby and found a few places within 20 minutes.  Cannonsburg lake has tons of trout.  Saw about a couple dozen pulled out over the last few weeks since they stocked it. Caught a lunker trout flyfishing the stream today.  Bridgeville has a spot across from Gilleece Plumbing.  I fished it once during high water with no luck.  A local fish store guy said it has fish there.  Let me know if anyone knows anything about Chartiers Creek in Bridgeville.  I am looking for new spots in the south hills as well.
