Lake Arthur Launches

I have a large boat (20' wellcraft V20).  I tried launching at the bear run boat launch and due to the length of the trailer the trailer frame got hung up on the top of the ramp.  Based on the gouges at the top of the ramp I see that I am not the only one who had that problem there.  I ended up going to 528 and had not problems.  But I prefer to fish the deeper end of the lake and I can only use my trolling motor since I have a 200HP.  Based on the gouges at the top of the ramp I see that I am not the only one who had that problem there.  I was thinking about trying McDaniels but I've never been there.  Do you think Mcdaniels would be ok for a big boat?

I went 2 weeks ago on the night of the storms and got skunked, I'll post a report on tonight's results.

Launch worked out fine, fishing not so much.  I pulled baits from McDaniels to Bear Creek Launch and back with one hit, 16'ish channel cat.  We had lots of bait in the lights, got 10 dozen in one cast.  Most of them pretty small but we had about 4 dozen decent ones.  Not many people fishing so I figure Im at the wrong part of the lake or the wrong time of year.  Water temp went from 82* two weeks ago to 72*.

that water temp lowering is a good sign, 60-65* and the bite will be back.
