Any good flathead/channel cat shore fishing spots near pit?

Made a trip out to Pitt last week but don't think we were fishing a good spot. We fished near lock 2 and used creek chubs only managed to catch a 17inch channel and a 11inch flat head

Anyone know of any good Shore spots?

    I used to catch a bunch of channel cats when I launched out of the marina in Wellsburg, WV. My in-laws lived in WV, so I would drop my wife off and go fishing. When I had live bait the flat heads would bite regularly. Never tried at night so the biggest we ever caught was about 5 pounds. I'd bet that pool would be a killer spot at night. Go downstream from Wellsburg just across from the power plant. Co-workers fish the Wheeling pool at night and catch flatheads over 25 pounds.
