My daughter's first Essox !

My daughter caught her very first musky, a nice 32"er from Pymie right before the 4th of July holiday. She caught it on a minnow fishing for perch. Very proud of this young lady, she landed all by herself. She handled it like a champ, this fish jumped a few times and even ran under the boat. She handled the rod very well for an 11 year old girl. She even stuck her rod down in the water when it ran it went under the boat so the line wouldn't rub on the pontoon. The fish was released to grow even bigger. Just wish we had gotten a better pic.. But unfortunately I was at work and another family member took the photo. I am so proud of her....

Congrats to her for a job well done. I'm sure it was a proud moment for you, remember my son's first Muskie, he was 13 and he is 38 now we still talk about it. We released it also , I got one a few week ago up at Wilhelm only around 28" .... They are fun to catch .... CONGRATS AGAIN!!

I'll toss a few at you but maybe you have covered some already.........Different types of floats and bobbers, local swamp fishing in Summer , organizing your tackle boxes and fishing vests , my favorite pack that camera and be ready for those great catches, practice those good back rounds for great outdoor photos. How about some good old fishing at night, gear , bait , lights. And last and also my favorite preparing a good fish dinner. Type of fish , fry , bake , grille and what ever works for great eating.  LOL..... go for it !

Looks like she had a blast. Great to see your youngsters are getting into fishing.
Maybe you can do a article on drums. If you havent already. Ive never got into catching them until this guy.
You can use the pic if you want it.
