    I made it out today but, no bird yet....................
     
    Did have some inspiring results with my calling today ...............  Last time  I tried some clucks and yelps which got me answers from ^@#!&%# geese.  Wellllll  today,  I tried some purring and I got great responses from...............................  tree frogs!!!!
     
    Still plenty of time and I'm thinking of trying some new advice starting tomorrow.
     
    My buddy, who is pretty successful at turkey hunting, says if I get my azz out of bed and be in the woods before sunrise I would stand a better chance at hearing a turkey !!!!

    BTDT-----yes be set up before light the key to the lock of success.
     
    I like a push and pull box very soft at first light --just to let them know you are thee.
    3 reed split "v" to lure them in close........
    Roosting them the night before also helps ALOT..

    Got out of the house before sun-up this morning and................ I couldn't see the woods!
    I turned to my left and I turned to my left again and I lost sight of my house!
    Man-O-Man it was foggy this morning?  I'm not sure if the birds could see to fly down.
    Needless to say, my turkey hunting adventure took a 'flush' this morning!
     
    Oh well, as they say in the old country.....  If at first ya don't succeed, try........ going fishing!

    I managed to call in a fox, who i'm convinced ran my gobbler off. Setup in a different location and watched 4 deer pass through. I'm convinced my new slate will call in everything but turkeys. Maybe this Saturday I will whack my first gobbler.
