Welcome back from the mighty H

Went looking for some walleyes, trophy smallmouth or carp on the big water this afternoon. I lost a big smallie, but landed these mid to high teen consolation prizes. Great to see my backing again. They ate black cone head  bunny leeches.
Stopping after work tomorrow to see if anyone woke up in the warm sun. Today was absolutely gorgeous. Tomorrow may be better!Attachments are not available: Download requirements not met

I can see people pouring over google earth trying to find it   Pretty soon with the boat, Wayne? Bet you guys are itching.....  Went up considerably  this afternoon with ADK snowmelt. That and the wind, shut it off.  I made about 20 casts on the way home and bagged it.  Fish Creek is way too high, too.

yeah i'm thinking in the next couple of weeks weather permitting we should start seeing some action. I've been stopping by SPAC on occassion after work but no luck it saves some time then going over your way. depending on water level I might start hitting it by the locks in Schuylerville. I'll let you know how I make out if I do.

Charlie got into a nice brown over your way one Sunday unfortunately it won. Into the brush my tippet didn't stand a chance. I hit the locks in Schuylerville and was paid a visit by DEC just check license and stuff. I'm off next Wednesday through Sunday going try to get into them some where

Rats. The big browns are almost as bad as steelhead to land and a lot rarer in our neck of the woods. Give me a call next week (or I'll call you), bet we can plan some time to hit 'em. We could throw my canoe in some places for pike and largies as an option, too. Be more than glad to net a big yellow belly brown for you.

I joined hot tuna yesterday for some striper fishing on the mighty Hudson and we managed to go four for eight.  All those that came to the net were slot fish, they ranged from 32" to 35' and gave a good account of themselves.  We had to grind all day but hit a flurry of action in the early afternoon boating three in approximately forty five minutes.  The last fish of the day broke my leader after a nice battle.  I'd like to think she was the big fish of the day but that honor went to RJ.
A great day on the water, thanks Rich.
Pictures to follow as soon as I can download them from my phone.

I knew I'd miss an awesome day, but I'm backed up too much to warrant taking off. Glad you got some, Gerry. I'm going to try for some evenings next week. I saw a few of the pics and was jealous as heck...

Went out in the canoe last night no luck to speak of only fished for a hour or so. My father had to get a new canoe and i'm not a fan. By no means am I tall and sitting my knees were up near my shoulders. Long story short every uncomfortable canoe must have been made for kids. Going to try to get out this weekend and give them hell somewhere stream or river either or looks like the nice weather is here to stay.
