Sam:  i have not been by either lake this week but on a crappie fishing board someone said Greenlick was completely open.  I know Donegal and Acme Dam are a little bit higher up the mountain and conditions may not be the same.  As of yesterday Lake Somerset had quite a bit of open water and this current rain may take what ice that was left.

If I get down that way I will make a post if no one else replies.

Dave, This afternoon I fished Greenlick,Acme,& Donegal. All three are ice free & full. I couldn't find the Crappie or gills at Greenlick, but did hit a mess of Gills at Donegal. There were 2 guys in Canoes at Donegal & 1 of them did catch 9 Trout by dragging Joe Flies. Also saw a guy at Greenlick catch a nice Carp. Greenlick water was a little murky, Donegal was clearer.  sam

Is the launch at Greenlick in any better condition than it was a few years ago?  I probably last launched my boat there about 4 years ago and it was tough but I was able to launch it.  If I remember right someone the last two years commented about it being tough to launch but that may have been after the water got lower later in the summer.

When I fished it last I was catching average size crappies just trolling around the shallows.  I think it was about the first week of April?
