When will there be ice?

Does anyone have an educated guess as to when the ice will be safe on lakes such as Lake Arthur?
 
I am relatively new here so I do not know the patterns, etc

    A friend told me Monday morning High Point in Somerset County had 2 1/2 inches of ice out from the south launch.  I have no idea how far out he went.

    I will be on ice in NWPA this weekend without a doubt. Going to check lakes tomorrow and Friday mornings to see what we have, but these cold days and nights are growing ice fast!

    The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

    Yeah I might just have to make a trip down this year. Never fished it before but it looks like it has some good fish... Maybe a weekend trip in February.

    Text me when you go frost ill be there. I will be limiting on gills perch and hopefully walleye

    Do you do well there in the Summer as well?  A family friend had a cottage on Deep Creek growing up.  We used to do great fishing off of their dock as a kid.  I have thought about taking my family there in the Summer, but kind of scared of too many pleasure boaters.

    Drove by deep creek this summer. Looked like a nightmare. And it was 7pm. Lake full of skiers, jetskis, boats speeding for no reason at all. F that place.
