    Congratulations on the buck.....

Great pictures; even though they are worth a thousand words, would love to read the story.

The story:......... My son is a 13 year Marine and came home for bear and deer season. We had lots of fun at camp and my cousin hit a bear on the first day but not good enough. 2 hrs of tracking told us it wasn,t hurt too bad. Thanks giving was great with tons of food and a scouting trip. The best way we decided was to use the boat to get to a spot and would save a two hr drag out if we got one.. Hunted hard the first day and we both saw nice buck but neither one of us could get a good shot. The second day I could hardly move {happens when you get old...lol} and I told my son if he got one to call and I,ld put the boat in and go get him. At 8 he calls and off I go. After loading the deer I go to back up and bang..no reverse:-( ...Electric motor got us out so I could see if forward would work and was happy when it did. Well as any father does he wants his son to fill his tag and for the next two days Dad pushed thickets after thickets with many deer seen but no good shots. On one swampy push I even stepped in quick sand and was lucky to get out!  Finally Thursday, his last hr to hunt, I pushed three doe by him and he filled his doe tag. All in all a great time with my son...now to fill my tag. Good luck to all.

On behalf of all that hunt and fish this great country may I say THANK YOU to your son and family. I enjoyed the story very much. Nothing like hearing a successful hunting story, as told by a proud father.

    Thanks for posting.
