so I worked real hard yesterday and was a bit sore. Did not feel like playing the get there at 0430 game. Got there at 0730 and all the fast water was taken, but to my surprise my rock at the head was totally open. Right after I got there the guy moved from below the sandslide so I alternated between there and the rock. All my takes came from the very, very top rock. The guys across from me did pretty well, the guys up from me did well too. Even seen a few taken in the lower faster water. It's not quite time for the rock to be prime just yet, but there were takers. I think the big water changed the layout a bit from last year. I saw a big brown taken from above me today too. Let me say today's fish were bright and full of pizz and Vinegar. My broken toe kept me from wandering too far as it was barking badly today. I also learned that waders will not dry even in front of the stove. That cut my day short at 4 hours or so. Saw I pretty fresh king hooked and I got into a moldy oldy.
Now my everloving rant of the day. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND RETURN THEM QUICKLY. I saw a nice one taken and left in the net half in and out of the water for about 5 minutes when the guys were just talking and THEN took a pic. Also saw one taken and the hook not promptly removed after a few pics the fish wriggled free only to be played again for a few minutes. The later is a mistake, but the former was a choice.
