Sorry to see you did about on parr with me, Clint. If it's any consolation, though I wouldn't wish a bad day on you, you made me feel better. I thought I couldn't frikkin' fish anymore . Now I know it was just some tough going. Thanks for the report. Fish are piled up in a little band along the north bank. Same place the salmon held. Some aholes were having a field day when I was there for awhile Fri. Fin hooked one every 10 minutes. I thought they were using eggs in about a 6, then I realized it was there lead marbles I was seeing and I couldn't even see the fly. I heard sz. 18's mentioned. They were yakking about how they had "fished" the river for 30 years. Best thing was a seagull **** on one guys head. 2 guys rotated your rock from dark to dark. I stopped by at 5 on my drive in and they were still there when I looked at late dusk. They apparently did OK swinging through the tail and into the head of the fast water.
