10/26/14

Got up this am at 0530. It was pouring down rain so I turned back over. Got up at 0700 and it was toning down so I got ready and left. I got up there at it was barren except for the upper rock the lower rock and the fast water. There must of been 10guys up there. They were all friends and switching off and having a good time. Fished the upper wall for a bit and got tired of losing flies so ventured acres the river as there were only a few guys over there. Fished on the bend for a bit and then moved up to the waste deep water across from all the guys. Casting was tough up there. Had a back cast catch a tree land 4 feet in front of me, next thing I know my line is going crazy and she is jumping everywhere. Managed to walk it down and beach it and snap a quick one. There were minimal fish hooked and landed here this am.
Wife wanted one for dinner so I left for down stream fished a little across from the jail. There were 5 guys in the prison yard fishing. Went way down to mid river to my go to spot and fished it hard. That place usually does not let me down, but there was already a pinned there with one on the stringer. I only got one take there.
I dropped a piece of wood on my little toe last week and probably broke it and it was barking bad so I called it a day.
I covered a little water today and saw very few kings around. Fishing was very tough today for me and the few I talked to. My next time out with either be a quickie after work this week or on my birthday next Sunday. Not many shenanigans going on today, but the fish were not there either.

Clint,  If luck is what it takes I'd rather be lucky than good.  Nice fish.

    Happy birthday Charlie.

Good report Clint , hope you catch a dinner soon.
I'm going to have to jack some deer next weekend so folks won't have to worry bout me taking up space. 25 deg and snow sounds like much more fun .. Lol
Good luck to all that venture into the great outdoors.
Got a newbie who wants to see what it's all about so an extended vets ( brown town ) weekend will be my virgin trip .

I got no complaints, last year by this time I had not even hooked into a steel let alone land a few.
