Theyr heeeeere

Got in Tues evening.
All day Wed -even in the rain- LEAVES
Thurs AM= MOWING-even in the wet grass from AM rain
Early Thurs afternoon went upper mid and found a GREAT RUN of Steel Hos and kings=went on for hours  till I left before dark. When ya got away from the conga lines the Hos and Steele were happy to play too-Kings although very fresh and healthy looking were more difficult but could be had with patience..
Friday AM a bit higher up and they were still coming in very good numbers-mostly Steel then Hos and Kings in the mix.
Bugged out bout 1 when the weekenders started flocking in, the rudeness was unbearable.
All in all a  great trip and my best of the season. Very eager Hos and Steel. Most anything around a size 8 with some sparkle was just fine- just as long as ya got off a bit by yourself where they were undisturbed. Kings were had but took lots of bug changes and patience.
Hey- there are a lot of Hos- not just a few mixed in.
According to the DSR reports it sounds like early to mid SEPTEMBER.
This may well last into November.
Midweek is far and away the best for finding someplace a bit undisturbed were  fish act kinda normal and will be agressive.
Cant wait to charge back up.

Late season predictors were apparently spot on-
Reports of Kings still arriving and a full estuary- this combined with a great Steel run already happening along with good Ho numbers.
Will be back up for a few days of fishing this coming week.
Always liked November but this is gonna be GOOD.
Not giving any secrets here to lurkers- all ya gotta do is read the DSR reports to see whats up- and they give honest reports.
Its especially rewarding after such a slow start and worries about this year and future years being dashed.
Despite new kings am gonna pickup a new noodle and reel and target Steel with sacs-bought my old noodle in the 80s so its time to refresh. Pineville shop had some great deals.-cant wait.
Have been looking around Ct for a new rig but cant beat the selections and prices I saw in the  SR shops last trip. (Gonna make it as reasonble as possible though-lol)

Hoping for a trip next Thursday night. Sure seems normal (but late) from what Uglyfish told me. November should be a rockin', hope the goons go to jacking deer, though. I've got people telling me I have to work every weekend to get their little projects done, because I took on a large job. They have to learn the word WAIT.  I am working this weekend, I sure as heck ain't next.  Good luck, Trev, maybe I'll run into you.

Would be nice to meet up Charlie but am likely to be in from Sun nite till Wed nite.
Have hopes of a number of late Fall trips though. Gotta make up for a lot of August and Sept blowouts  lol.
Good luck when ya go. Better off during the week anyhoo-
Unfortunately for most folks ( IMHO) they likely already burned their annual trip or two- would expect the conga lines to diminish greatly from now on. Deer season too.

Usually, I plan a trip and the snow hits the night before.  Would have been the case this year too, as I was planning on Tuesday and Wednesday, but work got in the way, so I had to push it off to next Tuesday - Wednesday.  What are they saying, 70, Tuesday?  SWEEEEEEEEET! ( Now I probly put the big jinx on it, monsoon by Tuesday PM!)

National either Service says rain Saturday and Sunday, around 505 percent chance with a total of 0.2 inches, then clear Monday and Tuesday and a chance Wednesday.  I can live with that.
