greenlick

Went to Greenlick this evening & found it even lower than it was on Mon., I have never seen it this low. I would say approx. 10' lower than normal. It is a good time to go look around, also would be a great time for them to dredge out a channel in front of the dock to make it easier to launch a boat if it ever fills back up. Especially check out the shore in front of the monument & you will see why people fishing from shore there got snagged so often.  sam

Yea Sam they really need to take some action at Greenlick. That boat launch is a disgrace. I wonder if it wil ever be back to the way it was even 3 years ago. If I had a back hoe I'd dredge it! Lol!

Tigercat,We need some people that live in Fayette County to take some action by contacting their County Commissioners or by going to the county comm. meeting & politely raise their concerns about the lake, especially the boat owners in the county. That lake is owned by the County not the PF&BC therefor the state won't correct the problem ,but may help if asked by the county. The Jacobs Creek Conservation group has done a lot of work in cleaning up the lake & getting grants to improve the shoreline & getting the county to keep the grass cut & picking up the trash, they are all volunteers. The county is getting the police to make more patrols to cut down on the amount of unsavory characters cruising around & have been making arrests for people dropping off household trash. The lake is being maintained better than it has been for years.  sam
