Maybe next time----
 Well after the 'weekend down to 350' reports and knowing it may be till the second week of Sept for my next chance  -ran up Saturday.
     River UP- better than a thousand by Sat evening, same or  higher Sunday.
Today about a foot higher than Sunday.
If I had to describe the fishing -weeelll -dangerous comes to mind and started feeling foolish trying- so I stopped and came home.
     Heck even if a hookup accidentally happened in those flows nothing woulda been landed - up outa the banks in places today but decent clarity considering the flow..
 Heard of some in the estuary but checked a couple of times from the bridge and saw nothing. Heard they were small pods of a dozen or so and likely busted on up in the heavy water..
      Never saw a fish, but in these conditions the scouts would have been hard to find.
  Felt  good to be on the river again -fish or not.
   Picked some areas I know well and didn't take chances stumbling around in the high stuff. It is right up into the weeds and brush and if ya don't know where ya are it could be very dangerous.

Getting itchy for #1- gonna head up for a couple of days next week, mow the lawn and try again.
 Was starting to consider predictions that the returning 'flood fish' might be late as they are mostly stocked which coulda resulted in a lighter run than in recent years..
Naturals seem to run stronger earlier(imho) and it was a theory that the floods may have done in the natural spawned eggs- made sense.
 After enlarging a lot of recent lake caught King photos ( yes they are starting to come on strong now) was VERY happy to see 'the fin' being commonplace.
May be  a later, but strong, run.

Got a report from some friends that fished the lake yesterday , got blown off today.
Fish are mostly dark( ish ) and right in front of the river. 5 guys released a bunch and limited out ( well they stayed 1 short )..
It's going to bust wide open in the river any day now then the circus will begin.
Personally not looking forward to a crowded river but I may make a 1 day run just to hold a rod again.
Hoping that 10-5 , will be one for Jack to put into the record books, my only firm plans for sharks..
