July 4th week of kayak fishing report/pics

Kayak fished the bay area from last Saturday till yesterday. Fishing was hot most of the week, started off little slow but Sunday the big ones turned on. The action stayed fast pace till Friday when the drop in temps just killed the bass fishing for me. Wed saw my first northern pike of 2014, biggest bass of the week was a 18.75incher that had a gut of a 20+in bass. Bass came on worms (split shot, texas, and drop shot rig), spinnerbait, and frog. The pike came on a swimbait. I forgot how good the fishing is up here, may need to make another trip up this summer.
