Its impossible to even try to understand what kind of "feelings" fish have because their sense of touch is largely based in changes in water temperature and pressure and hardly similar to our sense of touch and pain. Also iirc there is some pretty accepted phylogenic/cladistic research that shows the area in human/mammal/bird brains that detects pain hadnt developed fully in reptiles/amphibians and fish.
Point is they might feel some sort of pain, that we could never make a comparison to, so when you catch them, release or kill them quickly and just dont be a dick
