IMO,Greenlick or Bridgeport are better choices for what you are looking for,but there is a good population of bass in Donegal. There is a bait shop right at the lake,Jeff may be able to help you.All 3 of those lakes are electric motor only if you are taking a boat.  sam

I got three weeks off from work so im doing a tour of area lakes and area bodies of water. Donegal is just on the tour tomorrow  im thinking hitting the spillway/breast of dam and using shiners ad crawlers to see what i can get lucky and land. I just wanna catch some fish form each body i visit.  Dont have to be huge just something other then trout.

Not much to fish at the spillway, not allowed to fish on the breast.  sam

I agree that there are much better options local to Donegal than Donegal Lake - try high point also and although I've not been there recently, the quemahoning reservoir is a good option also

The only two bait shops I know of near Donegal Lake [and there may be others] are Rich's[?] right across from Donegal Lake. If you drive on the side of the lake where the boat launch is, you can't miss it. A little further away depending on your direction of travel is Red's Bait Shop on I 70 W. It's on the right side of the road if you get off the turnpike at Donegal exit and make a right after passing the toll booth. It's in the town of Acme and very near the Acme Community Center [ white wooden building]. I believe it used to be a church.

the bait shop at Donegal lake is Scott's run by Jeff - jeff's son scott started it years ago - scott moved off to better things and jeff keeps it going - always good bait.

Thanks for the correction Mr. Crappie! I knew where I was going to, but had the wrong road!

Also thanks to phishfearme! I wasn't positive of the name, hence the reason for utilizing the [?] in my reply.
