Spillway at Pyme

Did "combat fishing" start at the spillway?

My weekly paper  had a photo of 2 guys fishing at the wire 2 weeks ago on one of those warm and sunny days.

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Water is still COLD! There is still guys on the ice (I put my stuff away already). I went over with some minnows on those nice days when I was off work just to get out of the house. I got 1 8" perch, 1 15" cat, 3 carp and 1 10" crappie in 4-5 trips over so far this year. There have been a few guys jigging the wire but I haven't seen anything yet. Like I said water is still real cold it'll take a bunch of good warm days and mix in some warm rain with it to get anything going. I drive past everyday coming home from work and I know it hasn't started cause there hasn't been more than 2-3 vehicles and that's every couple of days

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!

Drove over to "Snaggers Ball" this afternoon from 1 to 3:30.  There were 3 guys on the incline  when I got there.  Just had some wax worms I took over for their swimming lessons. 2 eyes were caught/snagged while I was bobber fishing..... 1 in the tail not sure about the other. When I left there were 3 guys on each side of the wire and more guys getting ready to join the ball. Last night (I was told) the perch were hitting sonars.
The Fish Warden showed up about 1:30 and left just as I was leaving.

Oh yea,  there was one guy icefishing out about 200 yds. from the Fries Road launch.  Hope he had a floater suit on and ice picks.
